About the album:

Inspired by the jazz greats, with a unique South West spin, this much anticipated album from five of regional Western Australia’s most respected musicians is filled with a selection of much loved and lesser known jazz standards. All recorded with an unmistakable Margaret River twist, from bossas to ballads including tunes such as Nature Boy, Almost Like Being in Love and The Nearness of You. Recorded live on Caves Road by recording engineer Sean Lillico.

About Cassandra:

Cassandra's career as a vocalist has spanned from the United Kingdom, throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She regularly performs as a solo artist throughout various cabaret and jazz venues, including a guest artist residency at Tokyo's New York Bar in the Park Hyatt Tokyo (of Lost in Translation fame). She can now be found performing at some of the Margaret River’s most beautiful venues and wineries for private and public events, alongside her continuing international commitments.

About the band:

An outfit consisting of the most sought after jazz musicians in the South West of Australia, the quintet brings together Sean Lillico on piano, Kevin McDonald on double bass, David Rastrick on trumpet, Ben Clark and drums, and of course, Cassandra Charlick on vocals. This album was recorded live by Sean Lillico on Caves Road.
